NameSpy

Background and challenge

New profit centre of an established U.S. internet marketing company, entering the very competitive field of expired domain names.
The client envisioned a full package subscription service based on a "Super Software Technology Weapon" capable to search through the vast database of expired or soon to expire world wide web domain names.

The design had to be flexible to support evolving subscription models and the innovative configurations required to support the full package service with a quick time-to-market .

DotBoost Technologies solution

DotBoost Technologies worked closely with the client to clarify the concept and create the right software architecture.
We used OOP (object oriented programming) that allowed us to create not only a fast, clean and highly organized script but also an easily expandable system.

For the Power Page Generator function we needed to allow the client’s designers to implement their templates over the script as fast as possible. For this reason we used MVC (model view controller) as an architectural pattern able to reduce the complexity in architectural design and to increase flexibility and reuse.

We also used MySQL to provide multi-server access to a number of database and for open-source bug tracking tools like Bugzilla.
We also applied API for Google, Yahoo and MSN backlinks to show the number of outgoing links to a website domain from another website indexed by Google, Yahoo or MSN.

We used API also for Google PageRank and Alexa Ranking we improved the view of the traffic from the site. Alexa Ranking is also connected to API and with it you can find out what's your traffic statistics.

Content creation: the Power Page Generator program takes the chosen domain names and builds attractive parked pages with the subscriber’s code built right in it; 100% of the adsense money goes straight to the subscriber.

Happy subscribers: provide a service that would “help the little guy finally compete against the big domain companies and build its own domain name empire” as Paul Harris from California, a service subscriber, puts it in his testimonial.
